i have recently worked out that Sonic 3D is actually set not on the normal Sonic plane of existance, however, it is in that of Blaze the Cat, i worked this out as Robotnik has seemingly got a grey moustache, and, if you look at the emeralds, they look alot like the Sol Emeralds, not Chaos Emeralds
